Filipino online community in social media especially iconic celebrities are now expressing reactions against the statement of Makati’s Chief of Police Colonel Harold Depositar, with his remark saying that “even gay suspects are still men.”
In a previous report, Depositar noted during the interview with the ABS-CBN News that Christine Dacera’s friend, who is also a worker of the same airline company, said that Christine noticed something on her drink causing herself not feeling well.
Just recently, the Makati PNP Chief issued statement based on the medico-legal report that the cause of death of the 23-year-old flight attendant marked as “Raptured Aortic Aneurysm,” yet police officer noted that this could be the result of high level of toxicity due to alcohol or high blood pressure.
The issue about gay suspect with hashtag “#LalakiPaRin” comes into the scene when one of the suspects admitted that he is a gay and never ever had an intercourse experience with a woman. Gregorio Angelo Rafael de Guzman, the son of veteran singer Claire dela Fuente is the gay suspect, now making round on social media after Depositar said, even gay suspect, lalaki pa rin sila. Depositar added that like other men, they still have muscular instinct that comes naturally when they’re under the influence of liquor or any of the intoxicating alcohol and in the presence of drugs.
The statement of Depositar with his remark about the gay suspect in the case of the flight attendant Christine Decera started to rank top on the online viral issues.
The issue prompted concerned celebrities and netizens to tweet to the PNP, saying,
“Kahit bakla ‘yan, kapag nakainom ng alak nagiging lalake ‘yan.”
There are some that gave their reactions to this matter, some agree while some disagree.
Some of the celebrities who did not agree with that statement of Depositar is Chienna Filomeno while K Brosas expressed statement from her experience. Other celebrities like DJ Chacha also slammed this argument and John Lapus replied with the same thought to her tweet.
