P1 Million Value of Food Ordered by Hacker using Senator Gatchalian’s Credit Card

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is one of the top trending topics on social networking sites such as Twitter. Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian was spared by cyberattacks after his credit card was hacked. The hacker ordered P1 million worth of food from a food delivery service.

On Wednesday, Sen. Gatchalian stated that there are four consecutive transactions were made in just a span of an hour. He also posted a photo on his Twitter account, “My credit card has just been hacked! May nag order ng P1M worth of food sa Food Panda in less than an hour. Ano yan lauriat para sa buong barangay???”

“The hacker managed to change my registered phone number so he got the OTPs (one-time PIN). He knew what he was doing. I just don’t know how he will eat a million worth of food,” he also stated.

The first transaction cost more than P96,000; more than P323,000 for the second; more than P356,000 for the third; and more than P300,000 for the fourth.
