Are the 2 Doctors in Bacolod City Got COVID Positive by Local Transmission?

The COVID-19 cases in the province of Negros Occidental increases since the quarantine protocols lowered down by the authorities to balance between health and economy.

Recently, there are new cases of COVID-19 in the province allegedly transpired in a local transmission that include 5 bikers who were confirmed COVID-19 positive by Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares.

According to the video report from GMA Regional TV 1 Western Visayas, the 5 Bikers locally contracted with the COVID-19 Patient #3 from Talisay City.

The COVID-19 Patient #3 is a 34-year-old male nurse by profession with exposed history to a dialysis patient who was later tested positive of coronavirus disease.

The nurse patient undergo RT–PCR Test on July 1, 2020. Report said that before the test result arrived, the said nurse patient was having a biking affairs with his group of 15 other bikers that five (5) members of the group tested positive due to a local transmission.

In addition to the said report, it becomes a hot topic issue in the Facebook Chat Group about the two (2) internal medicine in the hospital Bacolod (we chose not to reveal the name of the hospital for confidentiality reason) but one of the doctors in the other hospital from Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) said in the chat group that there are two internal medicine residents of the hospital are now confirmed positive.

The said chat group gives advisory to take extra precautionary measure and follow quarantine protocols prescribed by the IATF to avoid the contamination of the COVID-19 disease and for the safety of yourself and for your family and love ones much more at this time that local transmission is now taking place.
