After Day 1 GCQ, Cebu City Recorded 45 New COVID-19 Cases Total of 2,319

Cebu City is now placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) started on June 1, 2020 but after a day of lowering down the quarantine protocols ECQ to GCQ, Cebu City Health Department (CCHD) recorded 45 new COVID-19 cases bringing to the total of 2,319.

According to report, the GCQ of Cebu City allows business sectors opening and workers also allowed to go back to report on work, but this is just the same from previous Enhanced Community Quarantine (GCQ), report said.

Here is the list of areas with patients recorded by the health department:

  18. San Nicolas-4
  19. Sawang-3

  21. T Padilla- 1
  22. Tejero-1
  23. Tisa-1
  24. Tinago-1

As of June 1, 2020 CCHD recorded total confirmed COVID-19 cases of 2,319 and 995 recoveries including the new 18 in the list and 27 total death toll.

The CCHD also reminded Sugboanons to do their part and if not necessary don’t leave home and practice proper hygiene to avoid the unseen deadly disease. CCHD also advised to get tested when local authorities recommended and observe quarantine protocols.

According to social media comments, the lowering of the quarantine protocol is a government steps to balance between health and economy but this could bring more possible infected if people don’t take their part on precautionary measure.
