PNP: 10 PNP Personnel Are Now Tested COVID-19 Positive

The number of personnel on the Philippine National Police (PNP) that are tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has climbed to 10.

Based on the data of the PNP, there were three new cases of COVID-19. They were a 55-year-old male and a 45-year-old male, they are both from Metro Manila. Also, a 42-year-old male which is from northern Luzon.

According to PNP so far there are a total of 152 personnel who were listed as persons under investigation PUI, and 1,4222 were considered as persons under monitoring PUM.

The Kiangan Billeting Center inside Camp Crame was already open for all PNP personnel who need to undergo self-quarantine, the PNP said.

Recently, the National Capital Region Police Office has also designated three buildings as quarantine areas at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

Also, the Manila Police District and the Northern Police District also have quarantine facilities.

As of the PNP, all police regional offices were encouraged to set up their own quarantine facilities for their policemen in case there will be placed under quarantine.
