OFWs in Kuwait Given Amnesty Will Go Home in the PH

Overseas Filipino Workers in Kuwait who availed on a general amnesty, has granted by the Kuwaiti government.

They are going to be escorted by a policewoman on Friday as they arrive at the Kuwait International Airport on their way home going back to Manila amidst the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

However, despite their undocumented status, distressed OFWs mostly Filipinos that had left their employers after experience being maltreated, have been cleared to exit on humanitarian grounds because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Friday, Kuwait reported new COVID-19 cases are in 75, bringing the total number in the country to 417, said the Health Ministry.

Recently, the Philippines is having 2,633 confirmed coronavirus cases and a death toll of 63 with 472 total patients recovered.
