73 NEW Cases of COVID-19 in Cebu City April 24 Update

CEBU CITY – 73 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the city of Cebu, health authorities said before the end of the day of April 28, 2020.

According to Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella, the new seventy-three (73) confirmed COVID-19 patients includes the 72 victims from Sitio Callejon, Barangay Labangon and one (1) from Opra.

Labella noted that respective barangays will be taking over all the patients to transfer to each designated Barangay Isolation Center (BIC) where the patients are treated by the Cebu City Health Department.

Recently, report from Governor Gwen Garcia confirming the first case of COVID-19 in the island of Bantayan. Garcia noted that the Bantayanon patient is currently admitted at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

Cebu City is currently having 550 confirmed cases with a total death of six (6) COVID-19 victims.
