Philippine National Police (PNP) cases of coronavirus disease(COVID-19), rose at 77 infected cops, as three more police officers have tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
Based on the report from dzMM on Wednesday, PNP Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa tells about the COVID-19 update in the PNP force he said,
“As of last night, we now have 77 but 12 have recovered.”
However, on Tuesday afternoon, the PNP has recorded a total of 74 police officers that are tested positive for COVID-19.
Gamboa also said that the total number of PNP that died due to COVID-19 remains at 3, while the recoveries still at 12.
On the other hand, the PNP chief was still looking into the possibility of the national police that had its own reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The frontliner officers will be in charge of the testing facility for COVID-19.
Gamboa said, “Nageexert kami ng effort to come up with a RT/PCR facility. Hopefully, kung maaccredit uli maasahan ng kapulisan na meron tayong sariling testing center.”
