Tes Despano of St. Jude Family Hospital Posted Photo of Front-Liners Wearing Plastic Made PPE of Garbage Bags Went Viral

The post of a netizen on her Facebook account caught the attention of the netizens following after her photo posted showing the picture of front-liners of St. Jude Family Hospital in Los Baños, Laguna.

The concern netizen responsible of posting the viral photos on her Facebook account is identified as Tes Despano who is a Medical Record Officer and OIC of St. Jude Family Hospital. On her post, Despano was asking help through social media concerning the need of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their health workers who are the front-liners to respond coronavirus disease.

According to Despano, their hospital is running out of supplies the reason that their health workers on the photo shows wearing improvised PPE from a garbage bag. She said that their health workers are packing their body with garbage bag and covered their heads with a colored plastic bag in order to protect themselves from the possible infection of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

When the post of Despano went viral on social media, the local government send them two (2) PPE on Sunday. But these were used then by their front-liners and nothing left again.
