Tagaytay Implement “Community Quarantine” to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

COVID-19 – Philippines –In response to the call of precautionary measure to the effort of containing the spread of coronavirus in the country almost every city was implementing community quarantine. And one of the city in placed of the ordinance is Tagaytay City.

Tagaytay Mayor Agnes Tolentino issued Executive Order 331 on Sunday, March 15, 2020 implementing community quarantine and the said memorandum order is effective immediately.

The Executive Order 331 containing advisory to appeal residents to stay on their respective homes but do not limit individual to come out to purchase food or medicines, or they may also come out for the purpose of seeking medical consultation at hospital or they will also have allowed to go out to take garage disposal.

The city government also advised to observe “social distancing” when it comes to public places.

The EO also indicated that all classes in the city are suspended in all levels as well as visiting to jail facility, social gathering including civic and religious until further notice.

However, the EO does not include the suspension of government offices. It clarifies that public service of government offices continues from Monday to Friday regular time from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

“The previously issued memorandum on the four-day work week is hereby revoked,” the EO says.
