Negros Occidental Will be Under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) Starting Monday, MARSO 30, 2020

Bacolod Governor Bong Lacson has already signed an Executive Order that will place Negros Occidental under an enhanced community quarantine.

As the Philippines increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. President Rodrigo Duterte has placed the whole Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine.

What will happened is that all public transportation will be suspended along with the closure of several establishments. And only pharmacies and grocery stores will be open.

These are the list of the establishments that will still be open amid the enhanced community quarantine:

As of the provincial government, the borders, ports, and airports in Negros Occidental will be close. Also, mass transportation such as busses, jeepneys, taxis, v-hires, tricycles, e-tricycles will be suspended.

The local government unit of Negros Occidental must also give each families foods and basic necessities that are vulnerable in the household. LGU’s will give each family an ECQ pass to let go out and for them to buy the needs of the family, also they should be using own vehicle for them to pass.

According to a post published by the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, the duration of the quarantine would begin at 12:01 AM on March 30, 2020, and would take effect till 11:59 of April 14, 2020.

However, the number of infected persons from the coronavirus had reached 471,044 worldwide. Also, there have been 21,284 fatalities with 114,228 people recovering from the virus.
