NBC News Emloyee: “Larry Edgeworth” Died Due to COVID-19, Chairman of NDC News Speaks Up

American news program NDC News, the chairman had confirmed that one of their employees died after testing positive for COVID-19.

Currently, the world is struggling to fight on a huge pandemic disease, the coronavirus or COVID-19. The deadly virus takes several lives in different countries and put thousands of people at risk. COVID-19 disease was first recorded in China and already infected over 270,000 people.

The death toll of the disease around the world is over 11,000 and there are nearly 91,000 who recovered from the disease. Countries such as the Philippines, the United States, Italy, Hong Kong, and South Korea are just among the other countries that are affected by the disease.

Also, members of different fields were infected. One of these is an employee of a giant news program in the United States.

Based on a report on CNN, the chairman of NBC News, Andrew Lack, recently confirmed that one of their employees died. The man was identified as Larry Edgeworth. Edgeworth was tested positive for COVID-19.

Lack said that Edgeworth was working in the equipment room. He died because of complications and that was a result of his coronavirus infection.

Prior to being a staff in the equipment room, Edgeworth worked as an audio technician in the news program according. He has worked on NBC for 25 years.

NBC Chairman said, “Many of you were fortunate enough to work with Larry over the years, so you know that he was the guy you wanted by your side no matter where you were,”

Lack said that the past few weeks were challenging. He added, “And we know there will be more challenges and uncertainty ahead,”
