The Department of Health (DOH) is investigating reports about a doctor who recently died due to a patient’s dishonesty about their medical condition and travel history or the exposure in places related to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire called the attention of the public to disclose all their information to healthcare workers at the virtual press briefing.

The Philippine Heart Association announced early this Sunday, that a young cardiologist had died because of COVID-19.

She stated during the opening briefing that she underscored the need for patients to be forthright with healthcare workers

On Sunday, the new coronavirus disease already takes 25 lives so far and infected 380 people in the Philippines as of Sunday afternoon.
