DOH Confirmed 12 More Positive for Coronavirus; PH Cases Now at 64

Confirmed coronavirus patient in the Philippines escalate as to the number of victims rises up to the total of sixty-four (64) as of Friday, March 13, 2020.

The additional twelve more patients infected with COVID-19 were confirmed by Health Chief Francisco Duque III.

Duque then requested the public to help government for contact tracing of infected individual. This is in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus that becomes a pandemic outbreak as declared by World Health Organization (WHO).  

The same report published by the Inquirer.net which also reflects the same appeal Duque to the public to contact DOH on designated contact number as provided here below once infected people are traced.

“Please contact DOH and call the designated hotline at (02) 8-651-7800 loc 1149-1150 for any new leads. For those who are confirmed cases, please let our hospitals take care of you,” Duque appeal to the public.

Recently, confirmed death toll in the country increase to five (5) which case was a Chinese national from Wuhan recorded as the first death case outside China while four were Filipino nationals.

According to the health expert, most patients infected of coronavirus have almost the same cases from mild or moderate symptoms of fever or cold that possibly developed to severe symptoms including pneumonia especially to patients of old age and patients with existing history of health problems.
