COVID-19: Bacolod City Preparing For Lockdown? As Mayor Bing Issued Executive Advisory no. 1 of 2020 March 18 (Wednesday)

BACOLOD CITY, Mayor Bing Leonardia issues EXECUTIVE Advisory No.1 which addresses to SM Mall, Robinsons Mall, Citymall Branches, 888 Chinatown and Premiere and Ayala Capitol Central that they can reduce the number of hours of their operation, they can also close their establishment voluntarily (fully or partially) due to the present threat of COVID 19 in the country.

Leonardia also he added that they can still continue to operate provided in a skeletal manner and preferably the staff are from Bacolod City and employee from other cities and municipalities so that they can stay on their home for strict quarantine reasons.

But the Mayor clarified that this businesses should be “KEPT OPEN FOR BUSINESS” are

  • Drugstore and pharmacies
  • Supermarket and groceries
  • Medical Clinic and laboratories
  • Government Offices
  • Bakeries
  • Banks
  • Convinience store (with no dine in allowed)

Meanwhile the city of Bacolod has no confirmed COVID19 patient yet, but there are a list of person under monitoring due to showing of signs of the virus like coughing and sore throat.

The city is under General Community Quarantine which limits the in and out of the people in the city and implements a curfew to ensure no one is on the streets in the late night and they will be secured on their houses.

Philippines is now under the State Of Calamity and everyone must cooperate, consider that the governent is doing its best to limit the fatalities of the virus.
