BREAKING NEWS: Mayor Vico Sotto Confirmed 2 COVID-19 Cases in Pasig City

Another confirmed two (2) cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 recorded in the Philippines, report confirmed by City Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday.

In a post shared by Mayor Vico Sotto on his Facebook account it says that one of the two (2) patients is confined at Pasig Medical City while the other patient is confined in a private hospital outside of the city

The Local Government Unit (LGU) is currently taking certain action to contain the spread of the coronavirus in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH).

“The LGU (local government unit) is closely coordinating with the DOH (Department of Health,” Sotto said.

“The hospitals are secure,” the city mayor added.

Sotto also said that the city is currently implementing precautionary measures set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and of the DOH for the everyone to comply in order to avoid the infection of the said deadly coronavirus. These precautionary measures include:

  • Contact tracing (most important)
  • Dedicated response teams observing proper protocol;
  • Disinfection of public spaces;
  • Cancellation of all public events and gatherings;
  • Applications for permits for large private events on hold

The world record shows the Coronavirus overall total of 108, 446 cases 3,790 deaths 58,587 recovered patients.
