Bacolod City remains to be COVID-19- free but the local government units (LGUs) issued Executive Orders 14, 15, 16 and 17 on March 11 to help curb the spread of disease. Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued the EOs adopting social distancing measures, suspending graduation and moving up ceremonies and heightened precautions

Some Classes in pre-school, primary and secondary levels in all public schools shall close on March 20, 2020, and classes in tertiary and graduate levels in all public schools shall end on March 27, 2020.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia issues Executive Order No. 21 series of 2020 Sunday [March 15] placing BACOLOD CITY under GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE effective IMMEDIATELY, as a precautionary measure against the novel coronavirus disease [COVID-19]. ALL land, air, and sea TRAVEL to and from Bacolod shall be RESTRICTED.

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will deploy personnel in various barangays to ensure that the persons under monitoring (PUMs) for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) will follow the 14-day home quarantine.

As of March 17, 2020, the latest update of Coronavirus Worldwide, more than 174,772 people have been infected and over 6,686 have died worldwide from the novel coronavirus, have reached some 80 countries and territories. There are 77,867 recovered from the epidemic disease.
