Rodrigo Roa Duterte, president of the Republic of the Philipines was supported for the use of cannabidiol (CBD) or marijuana for alleviating severe forms of epilepsy.

According to the PNA, They don’t see the President having a problem with the landmark decision of Dangerous Drugs Board to approve the use of cannabidiol (CBD), a pain reliever containing cannabis to treat epilepsy.

The president is in favor of the drug that can use for medical purposes. And it will be a case-to-case basis. He also asks for the Chief Executive thoughts about the matter.

Panelo made the statement even the President made a contrary remark in March 2019 during a Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) campaign rally in Negros Occidental.

Duterte said that he is no longer in favor of the legalization of marijuana in the Philippines.
