Feb-04-20 UPDATE: 3 Suspected Cases of 2019-nCoV Under Quarantine at Corazon Locsin Memorial Regional Hospital Bacolod

The authorities under local government in the province of Negros Occidental release an update on the suspected case of Coronavirus on February 4, 2020.

The number of victims infected of the 2019-nCoV in the Philippines continuous to increase. The first case of coronavirus in the country was recorded from the 38-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan.

The second recorded case of coronavirus in the country is the 44-year-old man, a Chinese national who died in the Philippines due to the infection of a deadly coronavirus. His death was the first recorded death outside China. The man, whose name was not mentioned but authorities confirmed that he was a resident of Wuhan.

Yesterday, Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson confirmed the two (2) suspected cases of coronavirus in the city of Bacolod. One patient is a foreigner, a Canadian national and the other one is a Filipino which has travel history from Hong Kong.

Recently, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran told reporter of DYHB RMN in a phone interview that there three (3) suspected cases under observation at Doña Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

Familiaran noted to the public not to panic because the city government is doing best to contain the 2019-nCoV in the city.

According to DYHB Tatak RMN Facebook page, Vice-Mayor and Chairman of Bacolod Inter-Agency Task Force Against Coronavirus, Elcid Familiaran, there are now 3 Patients Under Investigation (PUI) in the city of Bacolod confined at the Regional Hospital.
