Confirmed 2 Suspected Coronavirus Quarantined in Corazon Locsin Hospital Bacolod

Bacolod City is on fire as the people are threatened by the deadly 2019 novel coronavirus from the two (2) suspected patients who are currently under quarantine and observation at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in the city.

Health authorities sent specimen to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) and the result will be the basis for confirmation of the case. The local government of the province expected the result to arrive on Tuesday for the male patient and Wednesday for the female patient.

Most countries are on full alert against the 2019-nCoV which was first occurred in Wuhan City in China the same case affecting other countries including France, Hong Kong, Japan, as well as in the Philippines.

In Western Visayas, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson confirmed the two suspected patients of coronavirus. Reportedly, one of the victim is a foreigner from Taiwan and the other victim is a Filipina who have visited Hong Kong. The two are currently admitted and quarantine at CLMMRH.

Lacson ordered health authorities in the province to activate the Provincial Infectious Disease Action and Control Committee and require private hospitals to accept the patients who is suspected for this kind of diseases.

Authorities recorded the first case of suspected coronavirus in the country last Thursday from the 38-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan.

Few days after the first case of suspected coronavirus in the country, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that the male Chinese nationality, a 44-year-old man died of the said infection of coronavirus at San Lazaro Hospital in Manila. Our team learns that the 44-year-old Chinese nationality is a companion of the 38-year-old first coronavirus infected woman. The death of the 44-year-old Chinese national is the first recorded death case outside the country of China.
