DOH Traces People in Contact with Chinese Patient with Confirmed Coronavirus

The Department of Health (DOH) is now tasked to trace the people previously came into contact with Chinese woman who was confirmed positive with coronavirus.

Although quite difficult, but the DOH is assuring to do the best action to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

The Department of Health admitted yesterday that there is now confirmed coronavirus in the Philippines. The woman from the Wuhan City, China is the first person positive of the 2019-nCoV in the country. The said case alarmed everyone in the country and prompted the government to trace the people who was in contact with this 38-year-old Chinese woman who booked an airplane from Hong Kong to Manila on January 21, 2020.

It is also reportedly, that the said Chinese woman has visited Cebu City and Dumagute City in the Visayas part of the Philippines.

According to Secretary Francisco Duque, the patient is currently confined in one of the hospital in Manila but refuse to disclose the identity of the hospital. Duque also noted that the patient shows no symptoms as of the moment.

The novel coronavirus shows similar symptoms of flu, fever, cough and shortness of breath. Some of the expert analysts speculated that the 2019-nCoV was coming from the bat soup served in Wuhan City. While some other analysts claimed the coronavirus is a cultured virus in one of the biological laboratory in Wuhan City, China.

The Philippines is enlisted to the list of countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus.
