PHILVOLCS announced a 3.6 magnitude earthquake hits Calayan (Cagayan) on Thursday, November 07, 2019 around 12:18:20 PM. The location of the 3.6 magnitude earthquake is 19.15°N, 121.17°E – 033 km S 65° W of Calayan (Cagayan).

Depth of Focus is 016 and the Origin is Tectonic.

According to source there is no casualties has been reported. People of Calayan (Cagayan) must aware to the aftershocks. If needed proceed to nearest evacuation centers. Keep safe everyone.

According to PHILVOLCS, “We cannot predict when or where an earthquake or tsunami will happen. What we do is prepare earthquake scenarios of hazards and impacts to be used as a guide for mitigation, preparedness, and response.”
