The controversial Facebook post of Jimmy Bondoc fueled by the social media reports and bloggers causing the issue spread like wildfire saturating the attention of the netizen as the most talked issue this week.

The Facebook post of Jimmy Bondoc triggers celebrities to react, to name a few, Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin, Sunshine Cruz, Angeline Quinto and ABS-CBN Executive Production Manager Deo Endrinal.

Recent report about Jimmy Bondoc Facebook post highlights on the issue regarding the “Biggest TV Network Close Down” in which the singer and now Assistant Vice President for Entertainment of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) cited according to PEP.ph, Jimmy is referring to the ABS-CBN TV Network.

Speculations of the netizen, Jimmy was basing his opinion from the script statement of President Rodrigo Duterte once threatens block ABS-CBN franchise renewal in March 2020.

According to the news report published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer dated last November 8, 2018 as the president delivered speech during the distribution of land to agrarian reform beneficiary in the island of Boracay

This started after president Duterte accused Channel 2 of not airing his campaign ad during the 2016 presidential election which was already paid.

“Kalakas ng loob… mukhang marami kami sila Chiz Escudero, tanggap nang tanggap. Niloko ninyo kami, marami hindi lang ako kaya kayo hindi ko kayo palusutin,”

“‘Yung franchise ninyo matatapos na, but let me ask you [the] questions first, kasi ako talagang mag-object na ma-renew kayo,” he stressed.

Duterte also revealed that the television giant offered to return his payment but he refused to accept it because it was made after the election.

“They offered to pay and I refused to accept it because it was returned to me… proposed to return the money was too late after the election,” Duterte told reporters after the ceremony.

“When you do that to many people, it’s fraud. You’re actually a fraud when you actually received money and you don’t come up with your part in the bargain,” he added.

ABS-CBN’s franchise will expire on March 30, 2020 and its renewal remains pending in Congress.
