“SAMUEL” is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between this evening and Friday early morning.
PAGASA Statement as of 5:00 am:
“TROPICAL DEPRESSION “SAMUEL” HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS IT MOVES OVER THE WEST PHILIPPINE SEA.”
At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “SAMUEL” was estimated based on all available data at 90 km North Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.5 °N, 118.5 °E). Moreover, Moving West at 25 kph with a Maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph.
The local government in some areas of Negros Island declared a suspension of classes due to increasing storm signal of Typhon Samuel.
