Just In: Mayor Evelio Leonardia announces #WalangPasok Classes Suspended on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 due to Tropical Storm “Basyang.” Leonardia made an order to DepEd-Bacolod schools division superintendent Cynthia Demavivas, upon consultation with her and Executive Assistant Jose Ma. Vargas, head of Cluster on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.

In the official Facebook page of Mayor Evelio Leonardia made an announcement of suspension of classes in all public pre-school, elementary, and high schools in Bacolod Tuesday, February 13, 2018 due to Tropical Storm “Basyang.”

Executive Assistant Jose Ma. Vargas said the Mayor has declared suspension of classes from pre-school to high school because he is concerned of the dangers of floods to schoolchildren.

According to the official Facebook account of Mayor Evelio Leonardia, “We are in constant coordination with the DPWH, DRRMO, City Engineer’s Office, BCPO, BTAO, and other agencies concerned to continually seek for more effective solutions to floods.*/CITY PIO”
