Action star Robin Padilla feels no sorry the way he speak to insist of speaking Tagalog to Korean contestant Kim Jiwan during audition on Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT).
Padilla put pressure under the head on 20-year-old Korean contestant after Padilla’s attention was called by the contestant to be used as instrument of demonstrating his talent.
Padilla told Kim Jiwan to speak Tagalog after pointing the theme of the competition as it says “Pilipinas Got Talent.”
At the very first, Judge Angel Locsin helped Kim Jiwan to speak Tagalog on how to appeal Padilla as one of his instruments for his magical trick demonstration. Padilla then granted his request but insisted the contestant to speak Tagalog.
Padilla said, “iho, Pilipinas Got Talent, mag-Tagalog ka, kasi mukha kaming katawa-tawa kung mag-e-English kami dito para sa iyo. Pilipinas Got Talent. Mag-tagalog ka iho”
Meanwhile, the online world has mixed reactions on the actor on insisting to speak Tagalog to Korean contestant. Padilla clarified that he just giving him advice just like a father who gives advises to his son.
“Hindi ko naman siya inaaway. Sinabihan ko lang siya na parang tatay niya. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Ako parang tatay mo. Tandaan mo iyan. Mayroon akong kilalang Korean, si Ryan Bang, mas magaling pa sa akin mag Tagalog.’ Yun lang naman. Advice ko lang sa kanya,” he said.
In spite of the pressure, Kim Jiwan was able to advance to the next level of the competition with the three (3) Yes and one No coming from Freddie Garcia.
