Magnitude 4.2 Earthquake Hits Laguna Around 12:31 AM August 8, 2017

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) stated a magnitude 4.2 Earthquake hits Laguna at around 12:31 A.M on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. PHIVOLCS recorded the location of 14.40°N, 121.37°E – 007 km S 71° W of Mabitac (Laguna).

“Tectonic is the manner of movement of the earth’s crust. After shocks are expected, so everyone must be alert for safety measure,” said PHIVOLCS.

The Depth of focus (km) 016 and the Intrumental Intensity is Intensity I- Lucban, Quezon.

As of today, there is no advisory for tsunami threat for that earthquake.
