Netizens turns Hoax Facebook chain messages into witty posts

Hoax post such as “Deadline tomorrow” and “Better be safe than sorry” has spread over the weekend turns every Filipino netizens reacts tremendously.  Some even make fun of the posts as it reached an annoying peak on Sunday.

 

It started with passed-on posts on Facebook on the incident of removal of user’s accounts from being visible online – from user information to private photos and deleted messages.

This makes almost half of Facebook users getting irritated asking why some would believe on such posts, and some used the viral chain message into funny and witty status updates.

While the “Better be safe than sorry” posts starts with stating an unnamed attorney who advised to make a copy of the “statement” to prove that the Facebook user do not give permission for the use of his photos and profile details.  But if the user does not copy /paste the said post it is tactically understood that the user allows the usage of his Facebook information.

Otherwise the “Deadline tomorrow” gives pressure to the user to copy/paste the status to spare it from Facebook to access to all the user’s photos, old and new posts thus stating an allege “Violation of Privacy” code UCC 1-308-1 1 308-103 and the Rome statute.

But then such viral posts died down as to those who was not swayed by shared a status from Facebook’s official page clarifying the issue that was even addressed months ago. Facebook tells all netizens that what they share is actually their own disposition through the privacy settings on Facebook.
