Comelec’s Statement In Changing The Hash Code “No Cheating”

This day, Thursday, May 12 has declared a statement over the cheating issues that is talk about pertaining in changing a part of the system of the vote-counting machines.

The comelec chairman Andres Bautista said in a press conference just this afternoon, “There is no cheating whatsover,”

This cheating issue was opened by the camp of Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr, who is the close rival of Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo in the vice presidential race, stating that changing the ‘cosmetic’ part of the system was part of cheating. This was claimed on Wednesday, May 11 that the camp of Marcos discovers the change of the hash code just when a large rise in Robredo’s votes. The “Hash Code” is a data package containing election results received by the Comelec Transparency Server. It is known and considered to be the fingerprint of any software.  In the case of vice presidential candidates such as Robredo and Marcos, only Congress sitting as the National Board of Canvassers can officially tally their votes.
