The United Kingdom Welcomed 1,000 Syrian Refugees In Time for Christmas

In fulfilling their promise, the government of the United Kingdom wholeheartedly welcome the 1,000 refugees from Syria in time for Christmas.

In the Stansted Airport in London and in Belfast International Airport in Northern Island are the place where the refugees arrived. The status of the refugees was stated at the report of British Prime Minister David Cameron at the session in the Parliament.

He stated, “I made a promise that we would resettle 1,000 by Christmas and I can confirm today we’ve met our commitment. The government has provided funding so all these refugees get housing, get healthcare, get education. I want to thank all the local authorities and all those who’ve worked so hard. I said that Britain would do its duty and with these 1,000 we’ve made a very good start,”

There were also 50 autorities who promies to take the family refugess in their homes. Refugees Minister Richard Harrington also called on fellow to give “warm welcome” to the refugees.
