The executive director Atty Rona Caritos of the poll watchdog LENTE (Legal Network for Truthful Elections) stated that the continuing high of the automated polls had given results with the increase price of votes being sold and bought. She stated that there are no 500 anymore. She also further explain, “The cheapest votes now cost at least P1,000. The price could go as high as P15,000 per vote in areas considered hotspots.”

She also conducted and her group a examinations to different groups with the preparations they are doing for the coming election. However it can also be seen that the candidates are giving much effort to curropt in a way of giving money to the poor and giving them big incentives. She said, “LENTE sees that as a worsening election-related problem and it affects the results of the elections because it means that whoever has the most money wins,”
