Congratulations Passers! The University of the Philippines (UP) System release the College Admission Test (UPCAT) results for AY 2016-2017 earlier on Thursday night, December 17, 2015. More than 1,500 students successfully hurdled the entrance test.
According to the office of admissions, they announced that it will be closed for the Christmas Holidays from Dec. 19, 2015 to January 3, 2016. It will be open to inquire related to the UPCAT results beginning on January 4, 2016.

UPCAT was administered last August 30, 2015 in at least 25 campuses nationwide. There was a decline of the number of takers this year due to the implementation of the K to 12 program.
Note that Filipino graduates from the Top 10 of the graduating classes of public high schools may apply for freshman admission for SY 2016-2017 without having to take the UPCAT. This is provided by a transitory provision of RA 10648, the Iskolar ng Bayan Law, according to source.
The UPCAT is a multiple-choice exam with questions in Filipino and English. Its four subtests cover Language Proficiency, Science, Mathematics and Reading Comprehension.
