Actress Rhian Ramos met with Whang Od for tattooing a scorpion and hawk in her leg.

The 24-year-old actress did not mind the pain due to a traditional tattooing method using pomelo thorn just to print on her leg the mark of scorpion and hawk as a symbol of her open communication with God.

Rhian RamosRamos took to her Instagram account and posted a photo of her new traditional tattoos in the upper part of her leg.

Together with the photo was a caption that reads, “Apo Whang Od started with the hawk and her granddaughter Grace finished with the scorpion. Thank you to my awesome travel buddy @salvalancer for recording every moment of this trip ♡.”

According to the actress, the 93-year-old in the small village of Buscalan, Cordillera Mountains is considered to be Kalinga’s last tattoo artist has started the hawk and her granddaughter Grace printed the scorpion.

Whang Od traditionally uses pomelo thorn smeared with her self-mixed-ink and attaches to the end of a small piece of bamboo, then another piece of wood use to tap the thorn into the skin until the skin absorbs the ink.

Another post appeared on her Instagram describing how she opted to get the hawk tattoo, and according to her, that symbolizes her open communication with God. But some comments said, Ramos has mistakenly described her tattoos as “open communication to God” without knowing that printing tattoos in any part of the body is against the law of God as found in the book of Leviticus 19:28.
