Latest Update “Bagyong Ruby” As Of December 4: PAG-ASA Release 9 Areas Under Typhoon Signal No.1-Please Be Aware

PAG-ASA released an update revealing 9 areas will be experiencing a Typhoon Signal No.1 as Typhoon Ruby become much stronger and may landfall to Samar this Saturday Morning.

pag-asaIn its 11 a.m. advisory, PAG-ASA stressed that Bagyong Ruby’s current location is at 860 km east of Surigao City as of 10 a.m. with a maximum winds of 195 kph (Kilometers per Hour) near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph. Moving west north-west at 20 kph and estimated to be at 395 km east southeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar Friday Morning.

At December 6, Saturday the typhoon will be at 30 km northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar and will landfall over Samar region before noon.By Saturday morning, it is expected to be at 30 km northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar and will make landfall over the Samar area before noon.

The Nine areas were Northern and Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte and its Southern Region, Surigao Del Norte, Del Sur and Siargao Island and Dinagat Region.

Signal No.1 is characterized by the wind can break the twigs and branches of the banana plants. Rice plantation could suffer also damage and expected that the house made of cogon and nipa will be highly devastated.

The Rainfall is almost estimated to 7.5 to 20 mm per hour within 700 km diameter. The said weather condition could also affect the seas and advise local fish folks not to go out because it is too dangerous.
