Kathryn Bernardo Revealed that Religion is the Reason Can’t Commit to Daniel Padilla

Teen star Kathryn Bernardo revealed the reason that she cannot commit to take her relationship with leading man Daniel Padilla to the next level.

Daniel Padilla and  Kathryn BernardoThe 17-year-old teen actress admitted during a press conference for her upcoming debut, that religion is one factor that hinders her for committing to a relationship with someone, since she is a member of Iglesia Ni Kristo, she would have to consider the same religious beliefs.

“Religion, malaking factor siya para sa ating lahat pero for me pagmahal mo naman ang isang tao, tatanggapin mo kung ano na ang tao na ‘yun. Ako kung ganon na talaga ako, kailangan tanggapin na ‘yun ng isang tao kasi ako na ‘yun eh hindi mo na ‘yun mababago,” she said.

Bernardo told ABS-CBN News that she and Daniel Padilla who is a known Roman Catholic have been talking about religious topic especially the differences of teaching between the Iglesia Ni Kristo and Roman Catholic.

“Minsan napag-uusapan namin ‘yang about sa religion na ‘yan, about sa mga differences ng teachings ng mga INC sa ganyan,” she said.

However, Bernardo clarified that she did not ever tried to ask the Matinee Idol Daniel Padilla if he is willing to be converted if in case their relationship will come up to the next level.

“Hindi ko siya tinatanong talaga na, ‘willing ka ba?’ Mapre-pressure ko naman siya di ba?”

She also admitted that there is nobody else in her mind except Daniel Padilla.

“Kung paguusapan natin ‘yung qualities at effort, malaki ang chance ni DJ dahil nakikita ko naman na mabait na tao si DJ. Aside from gwapo, ‘yung personality maganda,” she said.

Asked if not the actor will be converted to her religion, she would be willing to switch her religion for the sake of giving way around, she gamely answered, “Of course, pero titingan ko muna ‘yung teachings kung pasok sa mga pinaniniwalaan ko. Kung pasok naman eh walang problema. Importante sa akin ‘yung naniniwala at may takot sa taas,” she said.
