Wearing Caps and Sunglasses Inside Shopping Malls are Banned in the Philippines

After the “Martilyo Gang” ransacks one of the famous malls in the country, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas proposed to regulate the selling of hammers and some other construction tools in the malls as to response the recent robbery incident happened at SM North EDSA.

In connection to the rule, police authorities in Metro Manila have imposed also banning on wearing caps and sunglasses inside shopping malls. Because it is believed that such kind of accessories can help the criminals to hide their identities from the CCT cameras installed in the malls.

One of the members of “Martilyo Gang” suspected to have worn baseball caps when the SM mall was ransacked. With this reason, the banning of caps and sunglasses inside the shopping malls is being imposed hoping to have a precautionary measure and to fight against the crimes inside the malls.

The imposed banning rule of caps and sunglasses were reacted adversely in most Filipino netizens.
