The Filipino actor and recording artist Daniel John Ford Padilla best known of his screen name “Daniel Padilla” received honor as the “Best Selling Album of the Year during the 26th Awit Awards 2013.
This is the first time the matinée idol received honor from the Awit Awards for his self-titled extended play album.
During his speech the 18-year-orld singer said, “”Yung award na ‘to para sa mga supporters ko talaga. Wala naman sa boses ko ‘to, e.”
The two grand awards of the year was received by the Filipino rapper Aristotle Polistico, known by his stage name “Gloc-9” for his “MKNM” (Mga Kwento Ng Makata) as the “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for his “Sirena.”
