In Mandaluyong City, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared that a fire has hit the residential area in Barangay Addition Hills in Mandaluyong early Tuesday morning. Fortunately, after an hour the fire was put under control.
The fire started on Monday afternoon at Block 37 in Barangay Addition Hills and was declared under control at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday.
However, on Monday, before 9 p.m. the BFP raised a general alarm that the highest under its classification, which required all available firetrucks within the fire district to respond.
According to Mandaluyong BFP, the fire has not been determined, but arson investigators have been dispatched to the site.
In addition, Barangay Addition Hills’ highest number of coronavirus-infected patients in the city.
As of now, the area has 124 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 411 suspected cases, and 230 more probable cases.
A resident named Ericson Maramba said that nothing has left his house but burned things.
Maramba said, “Simula po sa labasan malapit sa salon doon nagsimula tapos umaano ang hangin papunta sa looban, inabot na rin po. Di ko lang alam sa magulang ko kung ano ang gagawin namin.”
Another resident named Jennifer Peneligan, also said that she trust God whatever had happened, he know God will provide.
“Pagod na pagod po ako. Yung mga papeles saka kailangan ng mga bata ang nakuha namin. Hindi namin alam kung mag babalikan pa, dalawang bahay abot na kami. Bahala na si Lord,” she said.
Furthermore, the fire had declared under control at late night.
The fire damages almost 800 housed and 1,000 residents burned their house. The damage properties have caused P2 million of properties.
