Former Kapamilya radio reporter Jobert Sucaldito strike again on ABS-CBN.
Recalling that the biggest television network in the Philippines, the ABS CBN network stopped broadcasting and went off the air on May 5, 2020 after there 25-year legislative franchise has expired. This was under the cease and desist order released by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)
Also, Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano and several other lawmakers filed House Bill No. 6732 but unfortunately, this was junked as the House has opted to discuss the 25-year franchise instead.
The bill is also known as “An Act Granting the ABS-CBN Corporation A Franchise to Construct, Install, Operate and Maintain Radio and Television Broadcasting Stations in the Philippines, and For Other Purposes”.
Meanwhile, the former radio reporter Jobert Sucaldito has another attack against ABS-CBN after the congressional hearing approved the franchise renewal. Sucaldito criticized the network saying they have already mastered the “paawa effect” through their “emotional appeals”.
He also said that the network is good in gaining sympathy from the people after putting in people’s minds that they are the real victim.
Sucaldito also attacked President and CEO Carlo Katigbak. He wrote in his post; “Paano kaya kaming pinagtatanggal ninyo at sinuspinde indefinitely? Naisip niyo rin ba ang naging buhay ng more than 100 cameramen na pinagtatanggal ninyo nung 2010 at pinakain pa sa five-star hotels bago ninyo sinabing they’re no longer connected with your company?”
According to him, the network has done all along was pure “emotional blackmail”.
He even wondered the arguments of Congressman Marcoleta who is against the franchise renewal. He accordingly jotted down every singled issue of ABS-CBN including the citizenship of Gabby Lopez.
