PHIVOLCS release a statement of a 3.8 Magnitude Earthquake hits Kiblawan (Davao Del Sur) on Wednesday Evening, December 18, 2019, around 10:18:29 PM. 

The location is 06.62°N, 125.21°E – 004 km S 03° W of Kiblawan (Davao Del Sur) of Padada (Davao Del Sur) and the Depth of Focus (Km) is 007 with the Origin “Tectonic.”

*Intensity II- Malungon, Sarangani
*Intensity I- Alabel, Sarangani

Phivolcs stated that they cannot predict when or where an earthquake or tsunami will happen. What they do is to prepare earthquake scenarios of hazards and impacts to be used as a guide for mitigation, preparedness, and response.
