James Reid on the “On the Wings of Love” latest episode became contoversy and top trending! The episode has the scene wherein James can be seen dancing a dirty-dance wearing a police uniform.

When actually the one who first caught attention and started the said controversy was stated and noticed by the Philippine National Police. A very thumbs down was given to him, according to Inquirer.

In accordance with this the PNP Spokesman Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor stated that they will coordinate with producer of the show and with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to the said controversy.

Accoding to Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor, “The PNP will write the MTRCB a letter on the episode. The PNP uniform cannot be used just like that, especially if it is degrading and does not reflect a policeman’s work and duties,”

Adding, “It does not mirror a policeman’s duty. The PNP uniform is sacred to policemen and policewomen,”

The episode on Monday contains, Clark dancing making girls giggle with the exotic dance for Leah, to her bridal shower. This caused the PNP to appeal to TV and movie producers to think twice before using their uniforms in similar scenes. The PNP also reminded them that illegal representation of police uniforms and badges can be punishable with jail term of up to 4 years and two months.
