Carla Abellana explained that just because she is “blooming” and having a nice time today does not mean that her condition is great or that she has moved on from her breakup with Tom Rodriguez.

“Actually, ang dali lang din namang sabihin ‘yon. Siguro nasanay ako na kahit ano pa ang pinagdadaanan mo, lalo na kasi celebrity, mag-ayos ka, put your makeup on, fix your hair, mag-smile ka in public, you show up, you come to work, nasanay ako,” Carla said in an interview.

“That’s why madali para sa mga tao, sa public, na sasabihin na ‘Mukhang your happy, you’re okay, you’re moving forward or moving on.’ But really, aminin naman nating lahat, nobody really knows kung ano din naman ang nangyayari sa loob mo, kung ano ang pinagdadaanan mo, especially in an emotional and psychological point of view,” Carla continued.

According to the Kapuso actress, a person’s good emotional condition is not in blooming or beautiful decorations.

“Ayoko naman sabihin na, ‘Ay oo tama kayo ng nakikita na happy ako, I’m at peace or moving forward.’ Kasi hindi naman din necessarily na totoo,” the actress stated.

“There is still a human being behind the smiles, the makeup and all. But I’m glad, at least kahit paano may nakakakita nga na gano’n. But it’s not necessarily the case,” Carla explained her post about a woman sitting on an iceberg with a narrow passage.

Carla also discussed the different stages of grief, which are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

“Hindi siya chronological… You go back, you move forward, you go back. So medyo magulo siya, hindi pala siya ‘yung paakyat or isang direksyon lang. Talagang magulo. Babalik ka sa very start pa nga at some point. Or sometimes you skip a stage or two,” she continued.

But for now, Carla said she is in the “meaning-making” phase.

“Ito na ‘yung you process everything, hinahanapan mo ng sagot. You educate yourself, you do your research or read, hinahanapan mo na ng mga sagot, kung meron mang masasagot,” she explained.

Carla and Tom got married in October 2021.

But their breakup became the talk of the town in January when Tom unfollowed Carla on Instagram.
