Maris Racal, one of the Big-4 of “Pinoy Big Brother All-In” shared happiness she has experience as part of the cast of a Primetime Bida series “Hawak Kamay.” She admitted feeling uncomfortable working with the big names in showbiz like actor Piolo Pascual. But according to her, that’s a normal experience especially for her who is new to the acting career. The actress explained that she is trying her best to adjust situations considering that she is now an actress. According to her, she was able to managed situation later when they get acquainted together.
The 17-year-old aspiring actress from Tagum, Davao City told reporter of Push.com.ph that she has always looked up to the acting of the Star for All Seasons Si Vilma Santos to learned from her in her way of acting.
“Si Vilma Santos talaga acting idol ko kasi ang galing niya. Kasi nanunuod ako ng Cinema One kasi parang nakakakuha din ako ng tips dun. Eh ang parating pinapalabas dun mga old movies kaya siya parati kong napapanuod ngayon,” recalled Maris.
When asked what role she wanted to portray now that she is an actress, Maris said she has no dream role at the moment and she is open mind to whatever role to portray.
“Ang gusto ko wala, kahit ano game ako. Kahit anong i-o-offer sa akin I’ll accept it kasiopen naman ako sa lahat pero sa ngayon wala akong maisip na dream role eh,” she added.
Ask about her reaction pairing with co-housemate Manolo Pedrosa in Hawak Kamay in which fans and supporters of the two dubbed them as “MarNolo.” Maris clarified there is nothing but a good friend on and off the camera, she said.
“Wala, okay naman din sa akin kasi close din naman kami ni Manolo pero siguro yung relationship namin parangfriends lang talaga kai ganun lang talaga kami, parang sweet. Sweet si Manolo at saka sobrang kulit kaya kinukulit ko lang din siya, yun lang. Si Manolo mabait naman siya and sobrang gentleman niya and then as a boyfriend hindi ko alam eh,” laughingly explained the actress.
This is the reason she does not feel awkward to former co-housemate Nicole Barranda whom Manolo was supposedly courting after going out of the PBB house.
“Hindi awkward, tini-text ko pa rin si Nicole. On screen lang naman yung Marnolo pero friends lang talaga kami sohindi ako na-o-awkward,” she insisted.
Maris clarified that for the time being, she will pay more attention about her career in showbiz than to entertain love life issues quoting Toni Gonzaga as her inspiration and role model to emulate.
Sa mga relationships ang inspiration ko si Toni Gonzaga kasi parang career muna,” she said.
Before she ended, Maris revealed her crushes even before she is joining showbiz and that always been the two Kapamilya heartthrobs; Daniel Padilla and James Reid.
“Si Daniel Padilla at si James Reid, yung mga teen stars na tutuong cursh ko. Nanunuod lang ako ng mga movies nila. Wala lang, parang bagay lang talaga kasi sila ni Kathryn Bernardo kaya ayun. I adore them,” she said.
