She admitted, “Ako kasi nao-offend talaga ako ‘pag hindi namamansin”

The remark quickly circulated online, sparking mixed reactions from netizens and fans. Some agreed with Angelica, saying that respect and humility should always be present in any workplace, including entertainment.

Others defended younger artists, suggesting that what may be perceived as “not greeting” could sometimes be due to shyness, inexperience, or busy schedules on set.

Angelica went on to say that while the new artists don’t have to be nice, she did hope that they will be courteous to one another.

When asked how many new artists she had encountered, the Kapamilya actress said that, unfortunately, she had.

She continued by talking about how things were very different when she was still in their position as a rising star in the entertainment business. She recalls that she had to take the initiative to introduce herself to the seasoned artists she encountered; she believes this is a common practice in various professions.

Angelica has already discussed the younger generation of artists. She delivered some advise to the younger stars about staying in the business at her acceptance speech at the Star Magical Christmas Ball in 2022, where she was given her loyalty award for working for Star Magic for 28 years.

“Kailangan niyong maging mabait sa lahat ng katrabaho niyo, sa lahat ng staff, ng crew, ng utility, [dahil] lahat ng iyon, magiging boss niyo one day. Maniwala kayo sa akin,” she had previously said.

“Maging mabait kayo sa lahat. Huwag kayong puchu-puchung mga artista. Huwag kayong charot-charot. Ayusin niyo from the beginning at gamitin niyo ang talent ninyo,” she added.
