After the message that director Ronaldo Carballo shared, actor Ian Veneracion faced backlash. His management provided clarification.

According to Carballo, the actor’s road manager requested a large amount of money (P500,000) as a talent fee for the actor’s two-hour parade participation at the Tarlac Festival, as well as a yearly payment. Apart from that, it was alleged that the actor requested to have a float assigned just for him.

According to a Bandera report, Ian Veneracion’s management issued a statement. The actor’s team intends to raise this matter in the legal system. Ian’s team stated, “Considering these developments, we are exploring legal options to address the online defamation by Mr. Carballo.”

They refuted Carballo’s statement that the actor was requesting the solo float in addition to an extra P100,000 per hour.

“For this particular event, our communication was with a friend of the coordinator, adding multiple layers to the negotiation process. This is not the typical direct line of communication we usually have with clients or their immediate representatives,” the actor’s management said.

The actor provided evidence to support their claim that they messaged the director to present their perspective and address the “misinformation.”
