The Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 108 has issued an arrest warrant for vlogger and content creator Toni Fowler, citing allegations of violating Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code about Section 6 of Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

This legal action stems from a case filed by the Association of Social Media Broadcasters of the Philippines, Inc. (KSMBPI) on September 27, 2023. The charges are specifically related to the vlogger’s airing of a music video that was deemed to contain obscenity.

To secure temporary freedom, the court has set bail at ₱120,000 pending resolution of the case. The issuance of the arrest warrant marks a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings, highlighting the gravity of the allegations against Toni Fowler.

The complainants who filed a case with the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office against Fowler include Atty. Leo Olarte, President of KSMBPI; Atty. Mark Tolentino; and Atty. John Castrisciones, KSMBPI Director.

The complaint alleges that obscenities were present in the music video, wherein Fowler was singing and performing explicit content. Additionally, the complaint points out a specific segment that displays sensitive parts of the male body. These assertions form the basis of the charges brought against Fowler, contributing to the legal proceedings initiated by the complainants.

The group contends that despite the presence of a disclaimer stating “for adults only,” Fowler’s music video remains accessible to a broad audience, including many young viewers.

In a swift response, at 4:30 pm on Friday, Fowler promptly posted a cash bond amounting to P120,000.00 in the residence of Honorable Presiding Judge Albert Cansino of Pasay City RTC Branch 108. This proactive action aims to meet the bail requirement promptly and reflects Fowler’s commitment to addressing the legal proceedings promptly.
