Senate panel approves the P2.385-billion proposed budget of the Office of the Vice President.

The hearing was abruptly adjourned when Sen. Bong Revilla motioned to conclude the budget deliberations. Only Senators Pimentel and Hontiveros questioned Vice President Duterte regarding confidential funds.

This is what Kabataan Rep. Raoul Manuel posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, after the House appropriations panel ended the budget briefing for the Office of the Vice President in just 15 minutes. Citing “parliamentary courtesy” and tradition, Senior Deputy Majority Leader and presidential son Sandro Marcos made a motion to terminate the deliberations for the OVP’s proposed 2024 budget early.
