In Sitio Ibabao, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, a jealous guy pours boiling water on his live-in partner, causing injuries.

Eleazar Amandoron, a 43-year-old painter and welder, was arrested on the evening of Saturday, July 15, 2023, after he throws boiling water on his live-in partner, Fely Cabusas. He was arrested at the Mambaling Police Station.

The argument heated up when Amandoron confirmed to losing control after discovering the texts messages. He stated that while he was fixing the roof, Cabusas was drinking and using illeg@l drugs with her friends inside their home.

Amandoron further said that Cabusas suspected him of hiding her personal care goods, which fueled their conflict.

In a moment of anger and jealousy, the suspect confessed to taking a thermos jug and throwing hot water over Cabusas while looking for her cosmetics.

“Sa kalagot nako dala sa selos kay daghang siyag lalaki! Dunay mihunghong naku gisugo ko sa Yawa nga bubua’g ininit tubig,” (My jealousy and rage overwhelmed me because she had so many other men! A devil whispered to me to pour hot water) he stated.
