Herlene Budol mentions failing to get the top crown in a post following the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 competition.
Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo in 2020 were the previous Miss Grand International beauty to represent the country. Both finished as runners-up.
Despite failing to take the crown, Budol, commonly known as Hipon Girl, was satisfied with the outcome of the competition. Despite not winning the top spot, she is happy with herself.
She reflected on what she had to go through just to be a part of the competition and stated that it was not a simple process.
“Bonus din yung maka pasok at kasama ka sa bilang ng SEMI FINALIST lalo na sa estado ko na isang simpleng Hipon girl at laking squatter na indi marunong mag ingles. Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st runner up at ngayon tinanghal ako ng MISS PHILIPPINES TOURISM 2023 ay isang malaking karangalan at achievement para sa akin,” Herlene wrote.
