Tito Sotto, former senator and Eat Bulaga presenter, blamed Romeo Jalosjos for their unexpected departure from TAPE Inc.

In an interview with a source, Sotto stated that they do not intend to resign on May 31, 2023. However, when Jalosjos denied them permission to air, they announced their departure.

“Biglang pina-cancel ang live! Nagpa-order ng playback daw si Romy. Si Romy, nagpa-issue ng playback,” Sotto explained.

Despite their attempts to create Eat Bulaga among the most successful noontime program in the country, Sotto expressed displeasure with Jalosjos’ actions. He stated that after 44 years, Jalosjos had suddenly interfered with their work.

“After all these years na sobra-sobra ang kinita sa main, hindi man lang kami mabigyan ng [respeto] diba?” he stated.

“All of a sudden, bigla mo kaming pakikialaman, 44 years, may naiintindihan ka ba sa production? Makakarating ba kami dito kung hindi kami experts dito?” he continued.

Jalosjos has not responded to Sotto’s statement as of this writing. TAPE Inc had stated that the show will continue without Sotto and the other Eat Bulaga hosts.
